                             Norman L. Burggraf, Jr.


     Mr. Burggraf was born in Mishawaka, Indiana.  He and his wife, Jeanne, have been married for 43 years and have 3  children and eight grandchildren.  After earning a degree in Arts and Letters from the University of Notre Dame, Mr. Burggraf worked as the general manager of his family's business.

     Mr. Burggraf received his Juris Doctor degree, Magna cum laude, from Valparaiso University School of Law in 1995.  During law school, he served legal internships in both the United States Attorney's Office and for a federal district judge.   He was admitted to the Indiana bar in October, 1995.

     Mr. Burggraf currently concentrates his practice in the areas of general civil litigation, estate planning and probate, and all aspects of family-law related matters, including  divorce, custody, child support, adoption, guardianships, and juvenile matters.  Throughout his career, Mr. Burggraf has successfully handled cases in these and other practice areas,  including real estate and zoning issues.  Mr. Burggraf has also prevailed for his clients in numerous cases in the Indiana Court of Appeals and the Indiana Supreme Court.

      Mr. Burggraf is also recognized by the State of Indiana as a Registered Domestic Relations Mediator.  He has been highly successful in bringing both his 20+ years of family law experience and his years of real-life experience to  the service of couples or families in conflict to assist them in reaching realistic and practical solutions to their disputes that will promote the best interests of everyone involved without the necessity of contentious and expensive litigation.   

     Mr. Burggraf is a member of the Elkhart City bar association, and is also a member of the Federalist Society for Law and Public Policy Studies.  He has served as a long-time member of the pastoral council of his parish and as a school board member.  He has been a proud member of the  Knights of Columbus for over 40 years, and is a past Grand Knight.   His greatest source of pride, however, is his wonderful and patient wife, and his children and grandchildren with whom his is constantly involved.
